Policy on declarations and attribution

Written statements

All responses are provided in writing. We do not conduct telephone or video interviews, including background interviews.

Attribution

Quote as: “Spokesperson Sugar Daddy Belgium” or “a spokesperson for Sugar Daddy Belgium”. Individual names will not be provided.

Verification

We can verify the accuracy of quotes attributed to us before publication (fact-check), but do not edit editorial content.

Rejections

We may reject applications that have unreasonable deadlines, require video/audio, or where we cannot make a meaningful contribution.

Privacy and boundaries

🔒 What we do NOT share with the press

User data: Under no circumstances do we provide personal data, stories of individual users, or information traceable to specific individuals - not even anonymised if the profile could be identifiable.

Unpublished figures: Financial data, exact user numbers, or other metrics not previously made public.

Operational details: Specific information about our algorithms, moderation systems, or security measures that could be misused.

Internal communication: Internal documents, emails, or conversations - unless we explicitly decide to publish them.

This policy is in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and our privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions from the press

Can we get an interview with the CEO or other executives? +

No. In line with our company policy, all communications are handled exclusively in writing through our press spokesperson. This applies to all media requests without exception.

Can you confirm user numbers or revenue figures? +

We only confirm figures that have previously been publicly communicated. New figures are disclosed via an official press release when relevant. We do not provide unpublished financial or operational data.

Can you provide photos or video footage? +

We can provide screenshots of our interface, logos and brand material for editorial use. Video images are not available. Please request specific footage in your e-mail and we will send it along with our response.

Do you accept verification of citations before publication? +

We may verify the accuracy of quotes attributed to us (fact-check) to avoid factual inaccuracies. We do not edit or influence editorial content, perspectives or conclusions of the medium.

Can you refer users for interviews? +

No. For privacy reasons, we never provide users' contact details, do not broker contact between journalists and users, and do not share user stories - even with the user's consent. This is in line with our privacy policy and the AVG.

What if I have an urgent deadline? +

Please include “URGENT” in the subject line of your e-mail and clearly indicate when you need a response. We do our best to meet reasonable deadlines, but reserve the right to reject requests if the deadline makes verification or careful wording impossible.
